- 'Bachelor' OG Lead Announces Split From Wife After 17 Years</p>

<p>Bachelor Season 3 lead Andrew Firestone and his wife, Ivana, are ending their marriage. The former couple, who tied the knot in 2008, announced the news on social media on Aug. 30.</p>
<p>"Those who know us well know that family has always been at the foundation of our lives and at the center of everything we do. After much reflection and many hours of counseling we have decided that we can best serve our children and honor that commitment to family by moving forward separately as co-parents. While this was not an easy decision, we remain united in raising our children with love, stability, and the values we share," read a statement posted on Firestone's Instagram account.</p>

<p>"Though no longer a couple, we will always be a family, cheering from the actual and proverbial sidelines for our children's — and each other's — happiness and success," the statement continued. "Seventeen years of marriage is an achievement we deeply honor, as it brought us three extraordinary children and forged lifelong, generational bonds and friendships that will always endure."</p>
<p>Firestone got engaged to Jennifer Schefft on the season finale of The Bachelor back in 2003. However, several months after starting their post-show lives together, they quickly realized they weren't meant to be.</p>
<p>"When I'm working, I like to be home and I like to be settled," Schefft told Cleveland Magazine in 2004. "We were out traveling so much, it was just too much for me. Andrew enjoys that — that's what he wants to continue to do. We couldn't really ever find a balance that would work for both of us."</p>
<p>In the years that followed, Firestone would meet Ivana Bozilovic, a model and actress who had landed some small film roles, including one in Wedding Crashers. The two got engaged in 2007. A year after they exchanged vows, they welcomed their first child; a son named Adam. In 2011, they welcomed their daughter, Anja, and in 2014, they welcomed a son named Shane.</p>
