Ivan Toney has been spotted cheering on Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium despite agreeing a £40m move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli. The former Bees striker was spotted in the stands watching his former teammates as they took on newly promoted Southampton. Although Toney's departure will be viewed as a heavy loss for Thomas Frank's side, they seemed to fair just fine without him as they stormed to a 3-1 victory against the Saints.

Peter Crouch claims Joel Veltman 'PLAYED the referee', while Martin Keown rues lack of sense in sending off Declan Rice against Brighton for nudging ball away
Peter Crouch and Martin Keown expressed frustration at Declan Rice's controversial red card against Brighton and insisted the Arsenal star's actions are 'not a sending off offence'. Rice was given his early marching orders in the opening exchanges of the second half after he kicked the ball away following a kick in the leg from Brighton full-back Joel Veltman. Arsenal fans at the Emirates rose to demand Veltman be sent off for his wild swing at Rice, but it was the Gunners midfielder who found himself being dismissed for a second yellow card.

Team GB cyclist Archie Atkinson misses out on Paralympic gold despite taking a huge lead in the individual pursuit final as he crashes while trying to break his own world record
British Paralympic track cyclist Archie Atkinson crashed while nearly a full track's distance ahead of his opponent and seemingly nailed-on for gold, when making an apparent disastrous attempt to beat the world record he had set earlier in the day. Atkinson was more than a full six seconds clear of Slovakian Jozef Metelka when he crashed, 250m out from the finish, leaving his opponent to coast home. There were signs that Atkinson was pushing himself and his bike to a risky level, when he dug in for the record.

An upset Mikel Arteta was left 'amazed, amazed, amazed' by Declan Rice's controversial sending off which helped Brighton earn a draw against Arsenal. In the first half, Joao Pedro — who went on to score Brighton's equaliser — kicked the ball away, but referee Christopher Kavanagh chose not to give a yellow card. Though after four minutes in the second period, Rice received a second yellow for nudging the ball away from Joel Veltman as he tried to take a quick free-kick.
