A young boy was rescued as he walked along an elevated monorail track at the Hersheypark theme park in Hershey, Pa., Saturday in a moment caught on video.

According to a statement from park officials, the boy was reported missing just after 5 p.m. ET Saturday after becoming separated from his parents.

"While our team was actively searching, the child entered a secured area for the Monorail, which was not in operation," the park statement said, adding that the ride was closed and barricaded at the time.

"The child remained at the closed station for about 20 minutes before briefly walking along the track," the park statement continued. "A guest quickly noticed and helped guide the child to safety."

Maruo Bekhit - Bystander video captured a young boy walking along a monorail track in Pennsylvania's Hersheypark on Aug. 30, 2025.

MORE: Death of 9-year-old girl at Hersheypark ruled accidental, no criminal activity found: Police

The video, captured by a park attendee, shows the boy walking back and forth along the elevated monorail track. A bystander then climbs atop a nearby building and then onto the track, where he takes the boy into his arms and lowers him to safety with the assitance of another bystander.

"Our team members immediately responded after he was spotted on the tracks, and at approximately 5:28 p.m. the child was safely reunited with his family. He was unharmed," the Hersheypark statement said.

"We are grateful for the vigilance of our guests and the swift response of our team, and we remain committed to maintaining the highest levels of guest safety throughout Hersheypark," the park statement concluded.

Just over one month ago, a 9-year-old girl drowned in the wave pool at Hersheypark in a death that was ultimately ruled accidental.

A review by police concluded that the park upheld safety standards and that the number of people in the wave pool at the time was "significantly less than its designed maximum capacity," according to a Derry Township Police statement released on Aug. 1.

Carter Davis kicked a 47-yard field goal with 1:04 remaining, Carson Beck passed for two touchdowns in his Miami debut and the No. 10 Hurricanes never trailed while recording a 27-24 victory over No. 6 Notre Dame on Sunday night in the season opener for both teams at Miami Gardens, Fla.

CJ Daniels made an acrobatic touchdown grab and Malachi Toney had six receptions for 82 yards and one score for the Hurricanes. CharMar Brown tacked on a rushing score and Rueben Bain had a key interception for Miami.

Redshirt freshman CJ Carr was 19-of-30 passing for 221 yards, two touchdowns and one interception and also rushed for a score in his first career start for Notre Dame. Micah Gilbert and Jordan Faison had scoring receptions for the Fighting Irish.

Star running back Jeremiyah Love had just 33 yards on 10 carries for Notre Dame, which lost to Ohio State in last season's national championship game.

Beck, who transferred from Georgia, completed 12 in a row at one point and finished 20 of 31 for 205 yards.

After the Fighting Irish scored 10 straight points to tie it at 24, Miami moved 46 yards on 10 plays and Davis showed good length with his boot through the uprights to put the Hurricanes ahead.

Miami's pass rush then kicked into a higher gear by forcing an intentional grounding -- that resulted in a 10-second runoff -- and notching a sack to finish off the victory.

The Fighting Irish made it a one-score game when Noah Burnette booted a 39-yard field goal with 5:32 remaining to cut their deficit to 24-17.

Notre Dame forced a three-and-out to quickly get the ball back. On the first play, Miami had a breakdown in coverage and Eli Raridon (five catches, 97 yards) was wide open at midfield and raced to the 10-yard line to complete a 65-yard play.

Two plays later, Carr scored on a 7-yard quarterback draw to tie the score with 3:21 to play.

Miami led 14-7 at halftime before opening the third quarter with a stellar 12-play, 75-yard drive that took seven minutes, 37 seconds. Brown finished the excursion with a 5-yard run to give the Hurricanes a 14-point advantage.

The Fighting Irish moved within seven on the first play of the final quarter when Carr tossed a 1-yard scoring pass in the right flat to Faison.

Notre Dame got the ball back less than three minutes later but Miami's Keionte Scott tipped a pass thrown toward the sideline and two other players -- one from each team -- deflected the ball before Bain collected it and returned it 15 yards to the Fighting Irish 28.

The takeaway set up a 38-yard field goal by Davis as the Hurricanes took a 24-14 lead with 9:42 remaining.

Miami scored with 12 seconds left in the first half on Beck's 20-yard pass to Daniels, who leaped and caught the ball with his right hand to give the Hurricanes a 14-7 lead.

 • Is Miami finally back? Carson Beck, 'Baby Jesus' help Canes pass first big test against Notre Dame

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — They call him "Baby Jesus."

Malachi Toney is 5-foot-11, quicker than a fox and faster than a cheetah — or so it seems on the football field. He's also 17 years old and should be in high school right about now rather than catching six passes for the 10th-ranked Miami Hurricanes.

Nevertheless, here he is.

So, too, is CJ Daniels, the former Liberty and LSU wideout whose one-handed touchdown grab Sunday night here at Hard Rock Stadium may go down as one of the best of the entire season — a sprawling, horizontal extension of a mitt that, surely, was glazed in glue.

[Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2025 NFL season]

It's a wonder what quarterback Carson Beck is capable of with receivers who can, you know, catch.

A year removed from leading a Georgia team that dropped more passes than any in the country, Beck opened his Miami career with a crew of wideouts that routinely got open, gobbled passes from the sky and helped their quarterback to a solid line: 20 of 30, 205 yards and two touchdowns.

Beck's debut highlighted Sunday's top-10 duel here on a muggy, rainy and all-together soup-like night in South Florida. Miami beat sixth-ranked and defending national runner-up Notre Dame, 27-24, in a sort-of fashion that makes you think the Canes are real, like really real, like playoff and championship real.

Receivers? Check.

Quarterback? Check.

But, to the surprise perhaps of many, Mario Cristobal's team has plenty more, or at least showed it for one night.

An offensive line controlling the game? Yes.

A defense making key stops? Mostly, yes.

And — how about this? — a packed stadium at kickoff in the rain? Yes, that too.

Miami Hurricanes kicker Carter Davis kicks the game-winning field goal to beat Notre Dame on Sunday. (Doug Murray/Getty Images) (Icon Sportswire via Getty Images)

Despite it all, the Hurricanes needed to brave a fourth-quarter frenzy from the Irish. They blew second-half leads of 21-7 and 24-14; the offense stalled, gaining zero first downs on four consecutive possessions; and the secondary blew a ghastly coverage on a 68-yarder that Notre Dame turned into the tying touchdown with 3:21 left.

A stunned Orange-clad crowd sat in silence.

Oh, no. Not again? The Miami of the past two decades? The U that squanders leads? The one that disappoints so often in big games?

"I told them we were going to go score," Beck said.

The QB found Daniels again and Notre Dame made a costly pass interference penalty to put the Canes in position for their 47-yard go-ahead field goal from Carter Davis.

Still, the Irish took possession with 64 seconds left — a touchdown to win, a field goal to tie and first-year starter CJ Carr at quarterback. They didn't get past midfield. Defensive freaks Akheem Mesidor and Rueben Bain Jr. sacked Carr on consecutive plays.

The clock expired and the Hurricanes rushed the field, spilling off the sideline to a celebrating crowd that got to witness, perhaps, Cristobal's biggest win as head coach?

Sure, Miami opened the season by winning at Florida last year and beat Clemson in overtime here two years ago. But this is Notre Dame, after all, the Canes' hated rival and the runner-up just a season ago.

Aside from those fourth-quarter blues, Miami showed all of its pieces, the ones Cristobal has been recruiting, signing (paying these days, of course) and developing. The missing piece from years past, a defense that can make key and consistent stops, did enough in the debut of new coordinator Corey Hetherman, formerly at Minnesota and before that the lower rungs of football (Maine, Old Dominion and a place called Pace University).

They swarmed and they suffocated. Through three quarters, the Irish gained 114 yards and had seven points.

Sure, the end wasn't pretty.

But did you see Beck and his new crop of wideouts?

Miami Hurricanes freshman WR Malachi Toney made a name for himself in his first collegiate game. (Doug Murray/Getty Images) (Icon Sportswire via Getty Images)

In one of the biggest transfers this offseason, Beck moved from Georgia to Miami for more than just a big payday (his contract is believed to be more than $3 million annually). He appears to have pass-catchers now. The Bulldogs receivers dropped 36 passes in 2024 — tops in the country.

On this night, there was not a single drop. He found seven different receivers and, at one point, completed 12 straight passes. Toney, a rookie from Fort Lauderdale with that catchy Christian nickname (Baby Jesus!), hauled in passes of 13, 16 and 28 yards against, of all teams, the Catholics. On the ground, running back Mark Fletcher got 66 tough yards behind an offensive line that moved people for most of the night.

Cristobal called Toney "special" and said the staff has been trying to "keep him a secret."

Well, the cat's out of the bag. Baby Jesus has arrived.

"He's just getting started," Cristobal said.

It didn't matter that this was a wet-soaked, physical affair — a "muddy and bloody night," as Cristobal called it. His receivers made a show of it — rain or no rain. Daniels' 20-yard touchdown catch belongs on the year-ending 2025 highlight reel after Week 1.

CJ DANIELS UNREAL ONE-HANDER GIVES MIAMI A 14-7 LEAD 🤯(via @TSN_Sports, @espn)pic.twitter.com/S5WWePP0Co

— Yahoo Sports (@YahooSports) September 1, 2025

Down on the ground after taking a hit, Beck looked up to the Jumbotron for the replay of the catch and says he thought, "Oh, my gosh."

The environment played into his new defense's nasty ways, too. The Canes forced an early fumble, slowed Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love (33 yards on 10 carries) and got a wild turnover on a freaky play in the third quarter.

His team nursing a touchdown lead, Bain, the Canes' 275-pound defensive end, intercepted a pass that was tipped off another player's fingertips and then, actually, kicked into the air by a second player. He swooped underneath the tipped and kicked pass in a turnover that Miami turned into a field goal.

MIAMI WITH A HUGE INT IN THE 4TH 😤(via @espncfb)pic.twitter.com/xBkY1RH7oQ

— Yahoo Sports (@YahooSports) September 1, 2025

It all came in front of more than 66,000 roiling and rain-soaked fans — a veritable Orange bowl of soup here to root on their Canes against that hated independent team from up north. Former head coach Jimmy Johnson got the night started, cranking the Hurricane siren to a stadium packed at kickoff — something that long-time folks here say is a rarity.

Are the Canes back?

Is this the year?

Cristobal, in his fourth year as coach, has been building up to this moment right? Five wins in his first year, seven wins the next, 10 wins last year. Remember, they were just one game away from advancing to the playoff.

Perhaps it has finally arrived — the championship-contending Canes, destined to return to glory with a former SEC quarterback who's got himself a few pairs of trusting hands this time around.

ZANDVOORT, Netherlands (AP) — Monza is where the magic happens for Ferrari. And the Italian Grand Prix couldn't come at a better time.

Formula 1's annual pilgrimage to the "Temple of Speed" this week brings a chance for Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc to rebound from race-ending crashes at the Dutch Grand Prix on Sunday. It was only Ferrari's second Grand Prix this year without scoring points and Hamilton also picked up a grid penalty for Monza.

The only Italian on the grid, Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli, wants to "put in the trash" a practice crash at Monza last year, and make up for ending Leclerc's race on Sunday. Success has been rare for Italian drivers at Monza, though.

Lewis Hamilton's 'unique experience'

There isn't much that seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton hasn't done in F1, but racing for Ferrari at Monza will be something "unique."

It's Hamilton's 19th race at the high-speed Italian track, but his first in red.

He's spoken of wanting to enjoy his racing again after a difficult start with Ferrari, and insisted Sunday he'd made progress despite sliding into the barriers at the Dutch Grand Prix, "so to come away with that is definitely painful."

Worse was to come later that day as Hamilton was handed a five-place grid penalty for the Italian Grand Prix for failing to slow down enough for yellow flags before Sunday's race at Zandvoort.

Hamilton had a taste of racing in red in Italy at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola in May, and dedicated his result — fourth place — to the Ferrari fans. He still hasn't been able to get onto the podium in a Grand Prix race for Ferrari.

"The support this team has around the world from the Tifosi is unmatched and so I'm sure it'll be a unique experience," Hamilton said last week.

A history of excellence

Even some of Ferrari's most troubled F1 seasons have been redefined by success at Monza, like in 1988 when Gerhard Berger took an emotional first win for the team since the death of founder Enzo Ferrari.

Leclerc won there in his first Ferrari season in 2019 and again last year.

"I think our first experiences are going to be very different because Lewis has lived so many incredible moments already," Leclerc said Thursday.

"I'm pretty sure that he will still be shocked by how special this week feels, but he's gone through a lot more than I had done back then. I just came from Sauber to win in Monza with Ferrari, which was unbelievable. So it was all at once and it was quite crazy."

Antonelli's bad memories

It's been 20 years since an Italian driver was on the Monza podium.

Kimi Antonelli arrived in F1 with plenty of hype as the youngster succeeding Hamilton at Mercedes. Crashing 10 minutes into his first F1 practice session for Mercedes at Monza last year was a tough introduction.

"I have amazing memories, but also really, really bad ones," Antonelli said last week. "It's going to be important to just have a clean weekend, clean sessions and just put in the trash what happened. I think it's going to be a really special weekend."

Putting Antonelli in the car a year ago was a gamble and "maybe a mistake", Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff admitted Friday, but argued it would have been a major confidence-builder without the crash.

Antonelli has two points finishes in his last nine races after a strong start to 2025. He was competitive on pace at the Dutch Grand Prix but it all went wrong when he tried to overtake Leclerc and instead tipped the Ferrari driver into the barrier. Mercedes has yet to formally confirm Antonelli or teammate George Russell for 2026.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Hirving Lozano and Anders Dreyer scored, and San Diego FC spoiled the home debut of Los Angeles FC forward Son Heung-min with a 2-1 victory Sunday night.

After Dreyer got the tiebreaking goal in the 66th minute, Western Conference-leading San Diego held on against a barrage of LAFC chances to extend its unbeaten streak to six matches in MLS play.

Denis Bouanga scored in the first half for LAFC, but the French star and Son both failed to convert golden scoring chances in the final minutes of expansion San Diego's first trip 120 miles north to BMO Stadium. CJ Dos Santos made three saves for the visitors, including a diving stop on Son in second-half injury time.

Son was given a hero's welcome in his first match in Los Angeles, taking the field nearly four weeks after LAFC announced the landmark signing of the South Korean star following his decade at Tottenham. Son played his first three matches on the road for LAFC, scoring a goal and immediately energizing the offense while his new club went unbeaten.

The sellout crowd serenaded Son from the moment he stepped on the field for warmups in Los Angeles, which has the world's largest Korean population outside Korea. With thousands of fans wearing his jerseys for club and country, Son repeatedly waved to those cheering him on, and he exhorted the crowd into a frenzy right before kickoff.

Bouanga put LAFC ahead in the 15th minute with a beautiful chip volley into San Diego's net off an excellent pass from teenager David Martínez. Bouanga's goal was his 15th of the season, all in his last 19 matches.

But Lozano answered in the 33rd minute with a strike from the middle of the box for his ninth MLS goal. The Mexican national team star celebrated by taunting the famously raucous North End supporters' section.

Dreyer put San Diego ahead with a individual effort by the Danish star, slipping behind LAFC's back line to collect Jeppe Tverskov's pass and juking two defenders before firing a left-footed shot for his 14th goal.

LAFC controlled play for long stretches, but couldn't even it.

Son hit a screamer toward the far top corner in the 45th minute, but Dos Santos made a superb leaping save.

Hugo Lloris' long pass put Son in a one-on-one break in the 74th minute, but he couldn't get a shot off.

Son then hit the post in the 78th minute with a shot from the top of the box.

Bouanga got alone on the keeper in the 82nd minute, but waited too long to take a shot.

Son's hard shot in the 92nd minute was saved by a diving Dos Santos.

How to choose a brokerage account

The best online stock trading websites offer investor-friendly features and fees traders can easily justify. When it comes to choosing which brokerage account is best for you, consider the following features:

Price: When it comes to fees, you're in luck — fees have been dropping swiftly and most online brokers charge no trading commissions on stocks and ETFs.

Broker resources: You'll also want to consider factors such as research tools, the quality of the digital trading app, and the ability to place trades quickly and reliably, among other details.

Strategy: The account you really want will ultimately come down to your personal investment strategy — including how frequently you plan to trade and whether you're a beginner or are more experienced.

If other features are especially important to you, such as customer support, then be sure to factor those into your decision.
